You can cancel your Reliant service online
Many term plans charge a cancellation fee if you end your contract early. Before canceling, check your contract terms or call 1-866-222-7100 to find out if this fee applies.
You may be able to transfer your service to your new address. Transferring your service is quick and easy.
If you’re eligible for renewal and close to your contract end date, log in to the Renew or Change Plan page. You’ll see a list of available plans if you’re eligible to switch online.
If you’re not eligible for renewal and are unhappy with your current plan, call us at 1-855-671-7971 so we can find a plan that works better for you. We have lots of plans, not all of which are available online.
Don’t worry; just give us a call as soon as possible at 1-866-222-7100. This will ensure we power the correct property on the requested service start date.
If you are canceling because of frequent outages, please be aware that outages are not in our control. Your transmission and distribution service provider (TDSP) – which could be CenterPoint, Oncor, Texas-New Mexico Power or AEP Texas – maintains the poles and wires in your area. Your TDSP restores power in the event of an outage. If you are not moving to a new home in a new area, your TDSP will not change, and you will likely experience the same number of outages.
