1Reliant reserves the right to discontinue the Reliant Weekly Summary Email without notice. In the event Reliant receives incomplete interval data from your electric utility, Reliant may estimate your usage for missing intervals based on historical usage data from your meter. Weekly Summary estimates the usage and cost projected through the end of the billing cycle and will vary from your actual bill. A standard billing cycle is 29-32 days. The Weekly Electricity Usage is an estimate and is used to develop figures in the Weekly Summary Email. This usage estimate is based on regional averages and does not reflect your actual monthly usage. Your monthly bill provides your official usage determined by your local electricity utility. Reliant Energy Compare compares your home to 20-100 similar homes in your area with Reliant service. Your comparison group is chosen based on type of home (single-family or multifamily), location (zip code), age, size, type of heating source (gas or electric) and whether the home has a swimming pool. We then compare your home’s electricity usage with the average usage of the entire group during the same time period. “Efficient” usage is the average usage of the 20 percent of homes in your comparison group with the least amount of electricity usage.
2Requests processed after 5:00 p.m. Central Time will be connected the next business day. Same-day service is offered Monday through Saturday, weather permitting, where an existing meter is in place. No connections on holidays. Enrollment and permit requirements must be met before a request can be processed. Additional charges apply.
3Not available for customers enrolled in any pre-paid plans. To be eligible for an automatic payment option, your Reliant account must be in good standing and you may not have two or more returned payments during the past 6-month period. If your account is eligible, you will be enrolled on the automatic payment plan of your choice following the next full billing cycle after Reliant processes your request. You will continue to receive a copy of your monthly electricity bill for your records, but once you are set up for automatic payments, your bill will be marked "Do Not Pay." Reliant may terminate your participation under any automatic payment option in the event you provide incorrect, false or fraudulent account information or if you have more than one returned payment item on your account. Additionally, after your first returned payment item, your automatic payment plan will be temporarily deactivated and may only be reactivated upon your verification of your payment account information. Once you have more than one returned payment, your account may be ineligible for reactivation on automatic payment options for up to 6 months. Your bank account information will be used only for the purposes of setting up your account for automatic monthly payments and Reliant will keep your account information confidential. You can cancel at any time.
4Referrals may only be submitted by active Reliant residential customers with a Texas service address. To qualify for bill credit, referrals must be new Reliant residential customers in Texas enrolled on a term plan with a minimum of ten days of active electricity service on that plan. Bill credit will be applied within two billing cycles after the referred customer has completed ten days of active electricity service. Any disputes relating to eligibility will be determined solely by Reliant. Reliant may modify or discontinue this program at any time without notice. Additional terms and conditions apply.
