No. The Make It Solar for Business program does not utilize solar panels or any special equipment.
With the Make It Solar for Business program, Reliant matches up to 1,000 kWh of your monthly electricity usage with Texas and national solar renewable energy certificates every month. That means your electricity usage supports the production of solar energy without installing panels or any special equipment.
Yes. Your business is still connected to the electric grid. As long as there is no outage to the grid itself, you will have power even when the sun goes down, skies are cloudy or it rains.
You may cancel your participation at any time without penalty by calling 1-866-660-4900. Cancellation will be reflected within one to two billing cycles.

Your participation in the Make It Solar for Business program will end when your retail electric service with Reliant is discontinued or when you are no longer enrolled in a qualifying plan. Enrollment in the Make It Solar for Business program will continue if you move from one qualifying plan to another without discontinuation of electric service by Reliant. You may cancel your participation in the Make It Solar for Business program at any time without penalty by calling 1-866-660-4900. Cancellation will be processed by the next business day and will be effective at the end of your then-current program month. Changes will be reflected on your Reliant bill in up to two billing cycles.
